Hello everybody!! It was another quiet month for March, but starting April there's about to be more visible changes, including a new mod, guest artists and some site changes! Behind the scenes, we've been having a lot of meetings with getting projects going! We're all very excited about what we have planned out! ^w^

New Moderator

Please welcome MaskedMoonz as our newest moderator!!
We've had them on our team for a little while, but she's already contributed a lot of great ideas! We are so excited to be working with them!

New Guest Artists

Welcome Nyxxed , Phopho , and a_wingedlion to the team as Guest Artists!! 
It was tough for us to pick from all the applications, but we are excited to welcome these three as our first guest artists! 
You guys can be looking forward for new raffles and adopts from these three!

Trait Rarities Rework 

There was an unanimous decision amongst the team that our current trait system was complicated, and had too many categories. You may notice some items and rarities with the term (Legacy) attached, which is just to indicate that they are part of the old system! We've combined several rarities together for an overall number of 5 different rarities. Seasonal traits are still limited to certain seasons, you can check the description of the trait to tell!

Common, Uncommon & Rare traits are now all Common! 
Super Rare & Ultra Rare are now Rare!
Placeholder Rarity has been renamed into Invented!
Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter have been combined into Seasonal!
Elusive has been combined into Fabled!

What does this mean for you? 

Essentially, nothing! You are not losing anything that you currently own. If anything, traits are now easier to obtain than before! 
You will notice your characters rarities be adjusted as we work our way through the masterlist. 
You will keep all your current items, and still be able to use them! There's a guide below regarding how the legacy items will apply (and what the differences is now!) This guide applies only to the items now in Legacy categories. 

Uncommon Bowls/Scraps can use all Common traits (an upgrade!)
Rare Bowls/Sewing Kit/Thimbles can use all new Rare traits (an upgrade!)
Super Rare Bowls/Acorns can use all Rare traits (an upgrade!)
Ultra Rare Bowls/Rosebuds can use all Rare traits (no change/teeny upgrade)
Elusive Bowls/Rosebushes can use all Fabled traits (huge upgrade!)

New!!   Dailies Update

The probabilities for the Dailies have been changed, and needed an update for transparency! 
The probability of getting Seeds is now at ~85%, with quantities ranging from 10 to 500. Trait and Redesign items are at ~15% chance. 
MYO items have been removed from the loot pool, as they were always intended to be temporary as we started the species back up!

Hey everyone!

This has been a long time coming-- ever since we first started having issues with users logging in through DeviantArt. I just hadn’t gotten around to properly addressing it until now.

The short version: there’s no real way to fix the issue. The problem comes from DeviantArt’s side, and we can’t manually resolve it. When it goes down, we’re all just stuck waiting. Rather than keeping it around as an unreliable login option, we’ve decided to remove it entirely to save everyone (including us!) a lot of frustration in the long run. We hope you understand why we made this call.

If you haven’t added an email to your account and can’t log in, please submit a ticket through our Discord or send me a DM on Toyhou.se (Vampirezz).

🍀 Looking for a Bit of Luck This Month? 🍀

Hello everyone! We appreciate your patience over the past month and wanted to share some updates on what’s happening behind the scenes.

First, we’d like to apologize for the recent silence. Our original goal for February was to focus on site updates and further develop our rebranding plans. However, due to some unexpected life events, those plans had to be temporarily put on hold. I (Mars) had to move unexpectedly at the beginning of February and have now finally settled into my new apartment with my cat—so things are getting back on track!

That said, we’re excited to move forward with our planned updates! Over the next few months, we’ll be working on improving the site layout, refining guides, and rolling out new features—including more game-inspired elements, such as our pet collection system. We’re also focusing on ways to make Furarriums more engaging beyond art prompts, and we appreciate your patience as we work hard to bring these ideas to life!

 Upcoming Contests & Community Growth

The banner contest has been temporarily delayed as we work on growing our community. We want to build up momentum before launching it, but in the meantime, we’ll be hosting a new contest! Keep an eye on our Discord announcements, where we’ll be posting a poll soon to gather your input on what kind of contest you'd enjoy the most.

Moderator & Guest Artist Applications

Our moderator applications didn’t receive any responses, so we’ll be reaching out through other platforms and trusted friends to find potential candidates. If you notice new faces in the mod team soon, that’s why!

On a more exciting note, Guest Artist Applications will be opening this Friday! Once the form goes live, we’ll post another news update with details—so stay tuned!

The Future of Furarriums

We have big changes planned for Furarriums! We can't share everything just yet, but I promise you you'll want to stick around.
For the month of January and going into February, we are going to be focusing on improving the site, reworking our guides, and creating some fundamental changes to how Furarriums are going to function.
I'm confident you all are going to be happy to see what we have planned. In the meantime...

We've recruited a bit of outside help in order to improve Furarriums and get this group off of the ground.
We've labeled these wonderful people 'Collaborators'! They'll have a special role in our Discord server. Please thank them for all their hard work if you see them!

Hello! Sorry for the delay in announcing about our advent calendar, but our 12 days of Christmas calendar has officially launched! Make sure to log-in daily to claim extra seeds, items, and complete your Gingerbread Collection for more candy canes to use towards raffles! This advent calendar will end on the day of Christmas, which is December 25th, so make sure you don't miss a single day! Everyone who collects every single item will get a special reward at the end~.

As an extra note of caution, if you have purchased a raffle ticket, you must open the box. The raffle ticket in your inventory will NOT grant you a raffle entry right away; you have to go to the item itself and open the box to be entered! In the future, we are looking to implement an automatic enrolling feature so you do not have to open a box.
